Aspiring psychedelic guides and coaches frequently reach out to me for my expertise in starting their own practice. To support them, I’ve started giving masterclasses. These sessions are ideal for those with some experience guiding psychedelic journeys, whether as a sitter for friends, in 1-on-1 sessions, during group ceremonies, or in harm reduction projects.
I firmly believe that extensive personal experience with psychedelics is essential before becoming a guide or facilitator. I hold this principle strongly because the safety of clients and the integrity of the practice depend on well-informed and experienced guides. Ideally, you should have been exploring this field for several years before making the step to become a guide. If you've only recently discovered psychedelics and lack significant personal journeys, my masterclasses are probably not for you yet. In this blog, I explain why personal experience is crucial.
Quantifying "extensive experience with psychedelics" can be tricky. As a guideline, I recommend around twenty personal experiences and at least three years of serious interest and study in the field. However, I understand that every situation is unique. If you don't quite meet these criteria but are still interested in attending a masterclass, feel free to contact me to explain about your context.
